In pigman religion, time goes forever backwards as it does forwards, there were countless worlds before this one and countless ones will follow. The pigmen believe that this current world, their home, was created by the four spirits. To the humans they are know as air, earth, fire, and water, but the pigmen know them as Brethe, Oink, taker, and Giver. Each spirit has a respective plane, Air had the aether, fire the nether, earth and water shared a plane called minecraftia, made of land and sea. They shared this world for they were lovers. They also made creatures to populate their worlds. Fire made only one, the ghast, for he spent ages perfecting this miracle of destruction. Air made all the creatures of the aether. Earth and water yet again worked together to make all the creatures seen roaming the lands. Then the spirits decided they wanted something more interesting. So they created humans. Earth made their forms, air gave them the power to speak, and therefore the power to learn. (This attributes to the pigmen tradition of cutting out the tongues of those exiled for murder.) Water gave them kindness and compassion, love and caring. Fire gave them anger and aggression, hate and distrust. They were sent to populate the lands. Earth loathed humans, for their destruction of the world he took so much care in crafting, and the animals that were his pride and joy. So he called the spirits together and said there should be something to cull the population of humans, make sure they don't expand too much. The other gods agreed, humans having breached the nether and almost finding a way into the aether. Fire created the creeper, to the purpose of the mission and to satisfy his own need for destruction. Earth, the spider, a creature who was all too natural. It was a joint effort on the part of water and air however, the did the final touch when they brought the dead back to life. Satisfied with the balance in the world, the gods were mostly content. Earth still disliked the humans, and decided that he would make something better. And that is the reason he is known as Oink, for he created the pigmen. He gave them love for the earth, they would mold it into homes instead of forcing it to their will. He kept this secret from the other spirits, except his wife water, who he couldn't keep a secret from. He told her of his marvelous creation, and she marveled at his artistry. Se asked him for a sixteenth of the pigmen to gift with her blessing. He gave her an eighth. She took the creatures of earth and blessed them with the gifts of water. These new blue pigmen taught their brethren how to farm and raise crops, how to swim and build boats. They became the leaders of the pigmen, led them to be prosperous. It was this prosperity however, that would reveal them to air and fire. Pigmen soon found humans and set up trade, some even living among humans. Air and Fire noticed these creatures, and confronted Earth and Water. Earth and Water begged for forgiveness, yet refused to let Air and Fire influence the species. So Air and Fire each got one vengeance. Air made it so that no pigman could ever enter the aether, none could ever experience its beauty. Fire let pigmen enter the nether, but he took and eighth of them and changed them, like water had. Only he killed his eighth and forced air and water to zombiafiy them. Now when pigmen enter the nether, they are forced to witness their suffering kin. After being made to reanimate the pigmen, she went home and cried in Earth's arms. To this day, pigmen worship Oink and his wife the Giver, and distrust fire and heights. They still revere the spirits of fire and air, but they do not worship them.
