I am still myself, even though I've been split across dimensions and dead for 500 years. And I'm glad about it.
Hate to necro this idea, but what does everyone think of my self-inflicted apotheosis idea?

And what's that?

If you thought of yourself as having control over the universe, then if you were, you'd gain control of the universe right there and then.
It makes itself true by existing (like, if you were in control of the universe then you'd give yourself the power), but it also makes itself false (like, if you will never be in control you'll never give yourself the power).
Obviously it making itself true is the cool part.

Not really. You're making the assumption that there aren't protocols in place to stop anything you think of to be realized.

But the point is that you control the universe in the future... and that includes being able to affect time.
Also, what protocols?

You could have put protocols in place to stop yourself from assuming control of the universe. Like locking yourself out of your house on purpose.

If you did that with your abilities to control the universe, you wouldn't have done it because you wouldn't have the ability, etc. etc.
