Krios, a simple tavern keeper and worker in the sys-labs, vanishes for some time. One day, a mysterious stranger enters the quiet town of Seralotta. He starts lodging in Krios' tavern, raising some questions. One day, he enters the Sys-Labs, to talk with its leader Serinas. Suddenly, a voice is heard. Krios, who had vanished a short time ago, is talking to them. He explains to the Hooded Stranger why he brought him here. This land is ending, and only an Ancient can get them out. He instructs Arkantos, for that is the strangers name, to build a Warp Temple, a portal back to his homeland. Arkantos, he explains to Serinas, was sent back in time. Krios orders Serinas to construct a device, something that is the forerunner of what Arkantos knows as Crimson Brotherhood Technology.
Arkantos and Serinas work Diligently, and the Warp Temple is finished. All of the residents of the land file into the town of Seralotta, just as the Meteors strike. The Forest City of Arboris burns to the ground, and meteors ravage the land. Arkantos files everyone into the temple, but Serinas does not leave until he finishes the Device. Arkantos leaves him be for a while, and transports everyone else to his homeland, which was inhabited by the Ancients solely until then.
Bloberis, a wise and powerful Pigman Magician, uses his magic to give sentience to some animals, which he praises and teaches as his children. When he dies, he gives his magic to his 3 eldest children (first animals given sentience), who eventually become the first shamans, passing their magic to their eldest. Eventually, Casion Strider, a brave human, notices a meteor the day after the warp, and follows it. What happens next, no one can tell, though Zeratos, Leader of the Emergents, seems to know Arkantos. Arkantos, meanwhile, has been showing them around, helping them explore his land. Ersake, a popular and wise human, gathers survivors and decides to found a city near the Warp Temple, and vows the city will always honor Arkantos for saving them. Krios realizes that Serinas is still back there, and orders Arkantos to go back. Arkantos agrees, having befriended Serinas. He warps back, as the world collapses. He finds Serinas in the underground labs, putting the final touches on his device. Arkantos grabs Serinas, and the two of them rush back to the temple. They get back just as the Angry God, who has been destroying this land, roars in rage and finally annihilates this world.
Arkantos spends the next few months leading people to areas, where Krios has told him they should settle, though he avoids the Ancients of this time to avoid paradoxes. He finally decides to return to his time, and they all gather to bid him farewell. Serinas decides to accompany Arkantos to the future, but Krios is not willing to corrupt time so. Serinas must stay and found the Crimson Brotherhood, though he does not know it. Only Arkantos and Krios are privy to the future of these people. Krios tells Serinas this: "Stay here, and at the end of your life, I will send you to Arkantos' time, and make you young again. I do not wish to see my old friend die." And as promised, when Serinas lay down to die, he was transported through time, forward, to the time of Arkantos. He grew younger, reaching the prime of his life. And once again, regained control of the Brotherhood.
And thus is how the younger races came to 2.0, and how the land of 1.0 was destroyed.
This is so you guys don't get confused or clash with the timeline when writing your mythos and bios and stuff.
Also, I'm thinking of making a ruined decayed warp temple near the spawn, as the ancient (no pun intended) remnant of what Krios and Arkantos built to bring the humans to this land. It will be a place of great magic and energy, a holy place.
