Only one man has ever been to the cave of the Chicken Man and returned alive, but what lies within is reputed to have been so horrific that the man was rendered mute. However, it is also rumored that this man was granted eternal life by the Chicken Man as a punishment for his trespass, and wanders the mountainside, always trying, and always unable, to tell his story.

I thought the Chicken Man was benevolent, granting wishes and all that?

All i said was that he protects those in his favor, and he will grant you a wish if and only if you give him a golden apple. I never said that he couldn't be cruel or mean as well. It depends on his mood.

Lame. Nobody has ever been granted a wish. Also legends usually don't have moods. They have one bold facet of personality.
