11/14/11 I fixed Desu's Race.
11/14/11 Alright, so I know I'm not done, but I feel like I won't be done for some time because RP is never ending, and my character is still developing. Also, I feel now is a good time to release what I have so far, as it might provide some inspiration or discussion for those who aren't playing skyrim 24/7. I won't be releasing everything I have, because I haven't finished editing the later parts. I will be changing and adding on to this often, so I will date each comment I write here at the top, and I will try to separate each piece of the story into chapters/sections.
Chapter 1: Childhood
Billy was born in 541 AA, in the city of Aurora His parents died a year later in 542 AA, and he never knew them, or his last name. In fact, their death was kept from him, and he was raised by people he thought were his real parents. He went to school and learned to read and write, and received a basic education. But he had trouble fitting in with the other kids, and never made any friends. He was always excluded, and lived a miserable life.
Chapter 2: The Truth
In 555 AA, his 14th year (he doesn’t know his actual birthday), his foster parents explained what they had been keeping from him. His real parents had died when he was young, and he was actually an Animist. Distressed by this news, Billy ran away from the place he had called home all his life, and went to live in the animist forest. There he discovered that he was a descendant of Bloberis I, and thus an Animist shaman. He spent 3 years mastering his powers, until he was able to use them to their full potential.
Chapter 3: Oloril and Sal
During this time, he met two other animists, Oloril and Sal. Oloril was a caravan raised animist, and found Billy living in the forest in 557 AA. He hollowed out a space in a mountain nearby, and lived there. Oloril was Billy’s first real friend, and the two were inseparable. Billy first saw Sal when he was trading in a Northern Kingdom in 558 AA. Sal stood out to Billy in the crowd of people. He had a miserable feeling about him, and Billy instantly felt sorry for him. There was also something Billy saw in Sal that reminded him of himself, and decided to follow him. He learned that Sal was an animist slave, as was a common custom in the Northern Kingdoms. Sal’s parents had been slaughtered before Sal’s innocent eyes, and he was sold into slavery by their killer at the age of 10. His owner was cruel, and Sal had scars from his many beatings. Billy rescued Sal from his owner, and brought him to live with him. Sal was 14 at this time.
Chapter 4: The Big City and the Small City
After Billy’s 3rd year on his own, he visited the famous city of Nova for the first time. He was amazed by the cities skyscrapers. He had grown up in Aurora, a small city, and had only been to the outskirts of the Northern Kingdoms. Billy had never seen such remarkable buildings. He befriended the mayor of the city, Wilhelm Trusswell, along with other people in the city. After being in the city again, Billy decided he needed to visit Aurora. Much had changed since he had last been there, nearly four years ago. The population had doubled, and magnificent walls had been built around the city. Trade was beginning to become popular in both cities, and Billy came up with an idea. He built a path between Nova and Aurora that traders could travel on. Another animist named Foing Alhlo heard of this path, and proposed a business idea to Billy. They would escort people between cities safely for a large fee, which seemed like a brilliant money making plan. Together they founded B&A Escort Co. in 559, which turned out to be too expensive, as they escorted only a handful of people.
Chapter 5: The Nova Trade Center Tragedy
Two years later in the year 561, Oloril and Billy began to build the Nova Trade Building. This building would be the world’s center of trade, and took several months to complete. Unfortunately, the Trade Building burned down soon after its completion in a horrendous accident, and Oloril and Billy set back to work at building it, this time in iron and stone. This building would later be destroyed a second time in the Battle of Nova.
Chapter 6: Rise of the Emergents
It was during these months at the end of the year 561 AA that the world was turned upside down by the arrival of a new race known as the Emergents. The race members were driven by a mind controlling fungus that connected their minds. The first two infected people were miners at the Nova quarry, and were attacked by the Emergents but escaped. They were examined at the famous Tower of Thardus, and were discovered to be infected. Billy was at the tower and watched as one of the humans escaped infected, and the other be cured of his infection. Billy put the experience aside, until a month later the Emergents attacked Nova for the first time. Billy and Oloril were working on the tower, when they saw Samahude, the leader of the Emergents rampaging through Nova. He killed several people and injured many more before Oloril shot him with his bow. Billy was stunned by the experience, as he had never seen combat first hand, despite his capabilities. Next time the Emergents attacked he chased Samahude halfway back to the Hive, the base of the Emergents. They engaged in this stalemate for days, with the extraordinary strength of Samahude, and the lightning reflexes and speed of Billy. Finally, Samahude knocked Billy unconscious and left him for dead. This turned out to be a fatal mistake in the long run.
Chapter 7: The Battle of Nova
In the early months of the year 562 AA, the Emergents destroyed Nova in the epic Battle of Nova. Many lives were lost, and the destruction of the famous city shocked people around the world. During this battle Billy was away at his forest home. When he heard this news, he and Oloril rushed to Nova to discover the city in ruins, along with the Trade Building. When Oloril saw his work destroyed again, he turned his back on mankind and vowed never to interact with humans again. Billy spent a month searching for the refugees of Nova, and finally found them in the newfound city of Isotoran under the lead of Wilhelm Trusswell. Billy left his forest home behind to live in Iso full time.
Chapter 8: The Rise of Isotoran
Unfortunately, Billy wasn’t the only one who found the new city. An Animist who called himself Desu arrived shortly before Billy did. However, he wasn’t a typical animist, and acted strangely around others. Wilhelm became suspicious, and with the help of the ancient Arkantos, built a device that could verify a person’s race. When Desu was scanned by the device, he proved to be none other than the Emergent leader himself, Samahude. He was chased out of Isotoran, but the Emergents now knew where the people of Nova had relocated to.
Several weeks into living in Iso, Billy joined the Isotoran Militia. Being the first to join, and being on a good basis with Wilhelm Trusswell, he was soon after appointed leader of the Militia. Isotoran was still a new city, and was still under much construction. It reminded Billy of the old Aurora he grew up in, with its wooden and cobble style buildings and its space between buildings. Billy was immersed in projects, including building his house and adding defenses to the new city. He shared some of these projects with his second in command, a living zombie named Marksman. Marksman was good with a bow, but a novice with a sword. He had a lot of ideas for the new city, and with Billy’s help put many of them into action.
Chapter 9: Emergent Raids
It wasn’t long before the Emergents began the raids again. What made these raids different from the Nova raids was that the Emergents came in triple their previous numbers. The raids were devastating, and the first few caught Billy off guard. It took him some time to regroup the Militia and lead an organized assault on the raiders. They eventually drove them out, but never before they caused any destruction and casualties. But these were just the beginning of Billy’s Emergent troubles.
Chapter 10:The Battle Over Serinas Veldar
The raids died down for several weeks, giving Isotoran plenty of time to repair. However, a month later, the Emergents captured Serinas Veldar, the leader of the Crimson Brotherhood. He was held captive for weeks before anyone noticed he was gone, and a month until a plan was put into place to rescue him. Billy had received an airship from his Crimson friend Will Reggin, and he flew to the hive rescue Serinas with Wilhelm, Arkantos, Sal, and several dozen other soldiers. Sal was entering his first ever battle. And a battle it was.
They landed about a fourth of a kilometer ((is that a measurement we use IC?)) from the Hive, and sent Sal to scout ahead. After receiving the all clear signal, Billy landed the ship several hundred meters from the Hive. As the troops climbed up the hill across from the Hive, they realized they didn’t have any real plan. Before they had any time to devise one, they heard the ping of an arrow being fired, and one of the troops fell. The Emergents had been expecting them, and they were ready. Several more shots were fired, though none landed. Billy shouted to attack, and the majority of the troops surged down the hill and towards the volcano that was the Hive. Wilhelm tried a solo flank, although was near fatally wounded in the attempt, and barely managed to escape. Arkantos teleported into the Hive, and Billy quickly lost track of him. Billy himself led Sal into the fray from the air.
The two animists glided around to the back of the Hive and launched a surprise attack from there. They managed to kill several Emergents, only for them to be resurrected soon after. But they provided a distraction, and the main troops had a chance to advance up the volcano without much resistance. Billy was a master fighter, and Sal was better most, but the Emergents had the advantage of immense strength. Despite their poor form and lack of skill, Billy and Sal couldn’t hold out for long against their brutal blows and overwhelming numbers. They were forced to retreat behind the main forces. This brought the Emergents’ attention back to the troops climbing the volcano. Under direct fire, the small force didn’t stand a chance, and the few that survived were forced to retreat as well.
Realizing that his army stood no chance in this battle without a strategy, Billy called his troops back. The Emergents didn’t chase, but they continued to attempt to pick off soldiers with their bows. When all of the remaining troops had reached safety, Billy noticed that his forces had been halved. Many of the soldiers were dead, and some of the remaining ones were injured. Billy had less than 20 soldiers to work with now. Most generals would accept defeat under these circumstances, but Billy knew that Serinas needed to be rescued. And he knew that they could do it, but they needed a plan. After some time, he came up with one.
The army set up camp and slept the night near the airship. The Emergents assumed that they had given up, and let down their guard. Just before dawn, Billy led half of the army up the Hive, and engaged the Emergents in a fight. Because this time they had the element of surprise, the attack was much more successful. While the Emergents were focused on pushing back Billy’s troops, Sal led the other half of the army up the back of the Hive, sandwiching the Emergents between two forces. While everyone was focused on fighting, Arkantos talked to Samahude one on one and convinced him to free Serinas. After Arkantos gave the signal that he had freed Serinas, Billy pulled his depleted troops out and headed for Isotoran in the airship. The airship died over the ocean near Iso, and the troops walked the remaining half kilometer.
