The Skalor and the Wren
A Scholarly Compilation
A Scholarly Compilation
Long ago, the first Animists appeared on the planet, and with them their love of nature.
They traveled the known world, planting what are thought to be seeds of incredible power and potential. Each tree would grow into forests of massive proportion over the years.
In comes a strange oddity of nature. The Skalor Wren.
What is Skalor we ask? And why is it significant? After arriving on this land, I took notice of a large growth just outside Nova. Intrigued, I approached the tree to determine why it was so large. Upon further investigation I learned the core of the tree was a glowing material of unknown origin, and that the tree was ever growing. I left to rest for the night.
However, when I returned I saw that the tree, known as Skalor, was not alone. Instead, several trees had begun growth nearby.
I took several samples and discerned that the trees were growing as a result of Skalor's presence. After the Skalor finished it's upward growth, it's roots appeared to be spawning trees everywhere.
I monitored it's growth for several days, the Skalor spawned an entire forest around itself. Eventually the Forest would become the Skalor Wren, Skalor describing tree and Wren describing the forest around it.
I postulate the theory that the Skalor is in fact one of these ancient and powerful seeds that laid dormant until what I can only describe as Lightning struck the ground where it has been laying dormant since it's planting by the first Animists. The forest around it is in fact it's roots, growing at an exponential rate.
However, it appears to be showing some form of intelligence, as evidenced by it's halt near Nova's walls. While it expands in all other directions, it has totally halted at the walls.
What does this mean and why? I do not know, however the Skalor is a powerful and impressive spawn of nature. One that should not be trifled with if avoidable.
I will continue to monitor the Forest's growth as it moves outward in all directions.

OOC: The Actual tree is still under construction, it's there, but it needs touching up. Major touching up. If anyone has a problem with any of my RP rationalizations here, please tell me.
