There was once a being. He was known only as... Notch. He bore the seed of life, and guarded it well. One day he sowed the seed, and from it sprung two essences: Yes and No. These went by an endless number of names. As these two separate infinities swirled together, the universe was born. Notch, however, was forced out of existence, and was no more. In his wake dropped the spark of truth, which was the matrimony of Yes and No. So from the spark of truth sprung humanity in all it's greatness, and the animals for them to rule, and the plants for the animals and humans to feed upon.

Should the church have an astrologer, or the university?

"And Man said, 'Let there be order', and it was as decreed. Overhead shone Yes, No lurked below, and unity was present between." -exerpt of Origins from the CraftBook
This is interpreted as an explanation of why physical properties exist. Some say Yes overhead is the Aether (with No as the Nether), while others believe it refers to the Sun and the Moon.
Magic, as accepted by the Minecraftian church, is the tapping of either Yes or No (or combinations, forming elements).
"So as Man decrees it be, so he will rule it." -excerpt of Purpose from the CraftBook
The Church condemns neither Science nor Religion, although it condemns men who commit crimes against other men, and those decry order (Chaos cults).

It should be impossible for the people in the world to even have an idea about notch. If the universe was just a program, would we know the name of the person who programmed it?

It should be impossible for the people in the world to even have an idea about notch. If the universe was just a program, would we know the name of the person who programmed it? Yes, but the name has an equal chance of being chosen by the Clerics than any other name.

Wrong. Consider the name 'Vothxyzzyploverplughteiwxzfd'. Do you really think that has an equal chance of getting chosen?

It has the same chance of getting chosen as "Vothx". If you're going to do that.
Also LOL @ CraftBook: it's a plugin.
Why was this necrothreaded?
