Page break.
Are we going to make a huge topic with all of the new balancing ideas? Because I can make that if you won't.

Ash, we want to revamp Animists. They need to be able to transform into different animals:
Sheep - Attract nearby passive mobs and have the current nature spawning abilities. Pig - Regenerate health. Cow - Have armor. Chicken - Take no fall damage. Wolf - 100% chance of taming wolves when giving a bone, and increased attack. Squid - Unable to drown.
The current speed increase would still apply in all transform modes.
These changes would, IMO, raise Animists to the power level that Ancients, Emergents, and Crimsons are at. Over 9000.
Kudos to Ozz for the idea.

What exacally do emergents have that wolfmen wouldnt then, none of the races have very many cons as of right now. For every race, the pro's far outweight the cons. Humans are being trampled, not that I'm suggesting a fix, cause I dont care much, but other's might. Perhaps improved mining/block placement if we do improve humans? (Improved Block placement... Is that even possible?) I'm not going to push for anything for the humans, but people arent gonna join them imo with all the buffs to the other races.

That's true, humans need something special or people won't join their race. They need faster mining (like erik said), faster digging, faster logging, well pretty much faster everything that involves getting resources. Maybe faster attacking?

Wolfmen do not get as great a damage bonus, and they only get it in wolf mode, while Emergents get it all the time.
Right now humans only have ships, and will soon be able to repair tools. However, I agree. These are not very large buffs. They could get faster mining and logging, since these are two of the main human activities. Perhaps some buffs on farming too?

Emmergents FTW!
I know humans can't repair tools yet, but how does that work? Does he have to write a command or something? And doesn't that eliminate the possibilities of a blacksmith and armorer?

If humans can repair tools then they can have 1 set of tools for the rest of their server life, thats annoying and unfair, although I agree humans should have a beneficial power that helps the economy yet is still intreaguing and exciting for the player.

You have to use the same material to repair tools, so if you have a diamond pickaxe, you have to use diamonds to repair it, so it's not unfair or annoying conzo.

You have to sacrifice some of the material to repair. For instance, you could give up a diamond to repair half of a diamond pickaxe's durability.
It would be inefficient for shovels and just equal for hoes and swords. It would really only be needed for axes and pickaxes.

Matt, I would've appreciated it if you had credited me for that revamped Animist idea.
Humans are too weak right now. And I agree that they need resource-gathering improvements.
What I don't know is how easy it is to make things break faster. IIRC it's glitchy because the client renders based upon how many "damage block" events are sent compared to what it thinks is the total. So the block breaks before the client thinks it's supposed to.
Another idea I have would go hand-in-hand with blacksmithing (that is, humans are the masters of tools). Whenever a human's tool would lose durability, there's a 20% chance that it just doesn't. This is equivalent to having their tools last 25% longer.

I'm on a trip around the northeast, but i'll see what i can do. @ozz, BlockDamageEvent has a method "setInstaBreak(boolean bool)", though no "setDamage()"

So basically you can tell it to instantly break when it's only 80% done, making humans mine things 25% faster. That's glitchy for the client though, like I said, because it isn't expecting the block to instantly break.

EPIC. WIN. I really liked the "Crimson Brotherhood manipulating the humans to further their own mysterious causes." One problem is that you didn't mention the Animists being the traders.
