Alright. This is going to be a big thread that will be the official go-to for 2.0 lore, rules, and the like. I will begin incorporating submissions in this thread. A submissions will be accepted if ashtheking approves it. I retain the right to modify it at will.
What doesn't belong here as text is Character Bio stories. If you submit a link to a page of plain text I will include it. I think I'll just put up a list of things to be submitted:
-A detailed summary of each race, including back story, appearance, and powers
-Plugins
-Maps
-Texture packs
-Character Skins
-Stories
-Poems
Also, if you have any ideas, post them here in a coherent, single-post reply. Non-coherent, incomplete, imbalanced, and/or multi-post suggestions will be ignored, even if its the best idea in the world. Since you guys are prolific writers, I am hard-pressed to read the entire volume of threads being created.
Lore and Background
The End of the Beginning
Krios, a simple tavern keeper and worker in the sys-labs, vanishes for some time. One day, a mysterious stranger enters the quiet town of Seralotta. He starts lodging in Krios' tavern, raising some questions. One day, he enters the Sys-Labs, to talk with its leader Serinas. Suddenly, a voice is heard. Krios, who had vanished a short time ago, is talking to them. He explains to the Hooded Stranger why he brought him here. This land is ending, and only an Ancient can get them out. He instructs Arkantos, for that is the strangers name, to build a Warp Temple, a portal back to his homeland. Arkantos, he explains to Serinas, was sent back in time. Krios orders Serinas to construct a device, something that is the forerunner of what Arkantos knows as Crimson Brotherhood Technology.
Arkantos and Serinas work Diligently, and the Warp Temple is finished. All of the residents of the land file into the town of Seralotta, just as the Meteors strike. The Forest City of Arboris burns to the ground, and meteors ravage the land. Arkantos files everyone into the temple, but Serinas does not leave until he finishes the Device. Arkantos leaves him be for a while, and transports everyone else to his homeland, which was inhabited by the Ancients solely until then.
Bloberis, a wise and powerful Pigman Magician, uses his magic to give sentience to some animals, which he praises and teaches as his children. When he dies, he gives his magic to his 3 eldest children (first animals given sentience), who eventually become the first shamans, passing their magic to their eldest. Eventually, Casion Strider, a brave human, notices a meteor the day after the warp, and follows it. What happens next, no one can tell, though Zeratos, Leader of the Emergents, seems to know Arkantos. Arkantos, meanwhile, has been showing them around, helping them explore his land. Ersake, a popular and wise human, gathers survivors and decides to found a city near the Warp Temple, and vows the city will always honor Arkantos for saving them. Krios realizes that Serinas is still back there, and orders Arkantos to go back. Arkantos agrees, having befriended Serinas. He warps back, as the world collapses. He finds Serinas in the underground labs, putting the final touches on his device. Arkantos grabs Serinas, and the two of them rush back to the temple. They get back just as the Angry God, who has been destroying this land, roars in rage and finally annihilates this world.
Arkantos spends the next few months leading people to areas, where Krios has told him they should settle, though he avoids the Ancients of this time to avoid paradoxes. He finally decides to return to his time, and they all gather to bid him farewell. Serinas decides to accompany Arkantos to the future, but Krios is not willing to corrupt time so. Serinas must stay and found the Crimson Brotherhood, though he does not know it. Only Arkantos and Krios are privy to the future of these people. Krios tells Serinas this: "Stay here, and at the end of your life, I will send you to Arkantos' time, and make you young again. I do not wish to see my old friend die." And as promised, when Serinas lay down to die, he was transported through time, forward, to the time of Arkantos. He grew younger, reaching the prime of his life. And once again, regained control of the Brotherhood.
Ancients
The Ancient's were created far before many of the other races. Magic, was their maker, and thus, they are a race of mystical powers. No one knows how exactly they were made. All that is known is that a warp in the world occured, and from this rift in the normal dimension came the Ancients. The First and Oldest Ancients were created before the need for writing or speaking, and as such, had great power. With the advent of the younger races, there grew the need to speak, and as such, they grew limited by what they could speak. Yet do not believe them weak, for even though they have lost such power, they remain strong. It is suggested that they came from the mystical Skylands of myth. Many Ancients cling to that belief, and wish to return to that land, weary of the toil and battles of this one. Sadly, not even the greatest of their loremasters and warpers have figured out how to open a portal back to that land. If it even exists.
Description:
What are the Ancients? They are the oldest and generally most powerful of the magic casters. A humanoid race, with large luminous wings. Many of the stronger Warpers, as they call their spellcasters, have the essence of space and time swirling around them, reacting to their energy. Many of the Ancients are scholars and bookwriters. They used to number in the thousands, and ten thousands, but now, there are perhaps 100. After Du Kybervarg, known to the younger races as the War of the Storms, many of the Ancients were wiped out. Ancients are near immortal. Ancients are considered young adults at 500 years, and younglings at 300 or below. They age biologically in a 1:50 rate roughly, where 50 years for a human is 1 biologically for an Ancient. To rephrase it, a young adult is 10 AY (Ancient Years), and a youngling at 6 AY.

Emergents
"Sanity so simply lost, to return is man's true dream"
- Quote from the book of "Entity".
Legend, myth, story. These three words are meaningless, they mock the past and it's glorious history. People speak with these words, only to tell of true stories as fake or misinterpreted.
I over hear humans, they whisper oh so quietly, although with no belief, they speak with absolute fear. Agonizing pain as they mutter tales and lore. The citizens crowd to hear the exaggerated truths, past from generation to generation, they all laugh, but the tension between each burst of forced humorous sound is followed by silence, a drip of sweat from ones cheek, a shiver down a spine...They only imagine the truth of the Emergents....
The mutant Emergent people believe the lies they've been fed, that a great scientist, Mekkuria Zenbii created the Hivorious Sincilo fungus merely by accident, I don't, I know the real story. There are no accidents, everything is meant to be!
It all started at the dawn of time. A great essence of energy known as Archion created five servants. He presented each with unimaginable power. The Five, whose names escapes me, created Minecraftia. One used his powers to create the sky. Another two created the water and the land. The fourth created the beings on the land however, even with perfect tranquility and peace, the 5th servant became corrupted and began to use his powers to devastate the land. Eventually Archion noted the sudden change in events, and he used his power to seal the 5th into an alternate world. Still with power, the 5th decorated the world, he laced it with evil, darkness and vile beasts. From that day forward, the world was named the Nether.
The 4 remaining servants spread across the worlds and sealed themselves in indestructible shrines to forever watch over their perfect world. Archion, seeing his job was done, disintegrated and created the air. Feeding all life in the new world.
All was peaceful until the dastardly 5th servant managed to telepathically distort one humans mind, forcing the human to do the 5th's will. The human was ordered to construct an obsidian rectangle and set it alight, this created a gateway to the nether and with the 4 servants and Archion gone, the 5th became unstoppable and bent on reeking havoc but the seal placed on him was more intelligent than presumed, it forced him back, damaging him so greatly that he had to flee to the nether once more but sneakily he leaked his soul energy into his human servant before being transformed into a shrine.
The human, now with the mind of a reckless god, murdered his people and used the gos powers he'd been given from the soul energy to mutate a whole race, he knew activating the race at that time would only reawaken the seal and toss him into the nether, so after forcing an ancient to do his bidding, he used a time warp into the future and forced Zenbii to unknowingly create the worst fungus known to man which possessed him and began a new race of evil creatures but the plan was faulted...
Only a small, weak amount of the fungus was warped and so remained a little sanity within Zenbii's mind. Doing so he resisted the dark, crude ways and wrote his own destiny, absorbing energy from worlds and creating a new empire of mutants.
Eventually, after the energy of the land had been leeched bone dry, Zeratros commanded his people to build an immense ship. A grand creation beyond any other, constructed from pure netherrack picked from the Nether's hellish crust. Many years went by and soon the speculations became reality. The Hyper Industrial Ventalation Engine gleamed with it's almighty yet devilish substances. The ship was nicknamed The H.I.V.E.
When it came for the H.I.V.E to set of, it became apparent that the engines lacked the power to shoot the ship into the air, using the great knowledge Zera had developed from his curse, he realized the wasteful substances deployed from the body in fact contained energetic chemicals that could be captured and used to power the engine boosters, after his top scientists developed the engine on command, Zera traveled through the ship and added a dose of technology. No one other than the Emergents know what said tech is but others can only speculate.
The Hive and it's motley crew began to leach the life of many lands across the world until one day, an engine failure caused the ship to crash into the ground creating a reckless trail of destruction behind.
Curious, the inhabitants of the land, the ancients, investigated the crash site and found only few survivors of the crew, including Zera. Scared by the evil that haunted the debris, the Ancients scattered before using well designed messaging services via the other creatures of the land, a treaty was formed between the races, for the Emergai as referred to by the Ancients to stay in a restricted area and leach only that part of the land and in return, the Ancients would supply further sustenance until repairs were completed. Agreeing with the treaty, the Emergent race camped upon the new soil and existed in peace.
Some unrecorded time later, after the Emergent race had repaired the Hive and left, a message was received via technological console. A plea for help from the Ancients, they were in the middle of war and needed the skills of the Emergent warriors, Zera understanding the Ancients had forged a treaty and helped them, he made a proposal, they supplied his crew with armor and weaponry and he was given the lifeless corpses to recruit as Emergents.
The deal was sealed and the Emergents did their job, were paid and before leaving, a strange scientist approached the ship by the name of Casion and hungry for more recruits now with the feelings of war inside him, Zera absorbed the man and accidentally with it the mind, reacting quickly, Zera sealed the mind within a new human body that he had recently picked up but had no use for it as of late. The scientist, mind and body now intact flew from the scene and hasn't been discovered since.
A passing animist saw the attack and told the Ancients that the Emergents had broke the rules and attacked a creature of the land. Angered the Ancients used their powers to bind the ship to the earth and crumble the energy leaching machines before them. They slaughtered the remaining crew other than Zera, who they left him to realize the damage caused.
Zera is currently repairing his ship, now bound, he is in an endless war with the other 4 races and hopes one day to seek revenge on the ones who bound him.
Description:
Emergents are the evil antagonists of the server. Ugly, mutant humanoids that, to some extent, are holding on to the brink of sanity. They have the ship known as the HIVE and control servants from there. They can survive in the Nether, which is also to some extent classified as their domain. However they cannot destroy other creations in the Nether if they are not in specified areas, for balance's sake.
Animists
"And the Prophet Animus said, 'Men wage war. We do not. We are artists, in all things, fighters in none.' "
-From the Book of Animus
The Animists believe in the creation of the world by four spirits, Earth, Water, Fire, And Air. After building the planet, they wanted in creatures to live there. Earth made the forms out of clay, and each spirit blessed an animal. Water blessed the squid, letting it live in here depths. Air blessed two animals, the chicken, giving it semi-flight, and the sheep, letting it wear the clouds around it. Fire blessed wolves, giving them their rage. Earth blessed the pigs, giving them his love for the earth. And they all helped with cows, because no one could think of what to do with them. Then the other races came. The spirits didn't know where they had come from, but they were destroying that which they had worked so long to make. They each agreed, and stole an entire city of humans, changing them into half animal half men. At first these people were lost, having no past memory of themselves, until one rose up to lead them. He was the prophet Animus. The spirits spoke to him, told him that he must lead his people over the world, teaching the other races about beauty, art, and replanting trees. So they did. They were nomads for hundreds of generations, Animus passing down his leadership down to the most worthy of his followers, who became the first Disciple of Animus. Each head Disciple passed down his leadership to whoever he deemed most worthy. Over hundreds of generations, the title has been passed down to Bloberis, who lead his people across the world for many years, until he found this land. Here, there were more races living close together than he had ever seen before. He decided that the Animists would make their first ever settlement here, as a base for their travels and and a center of art for the entire world.
While not entirely true, this is what Animists believe. "Animus" is really the first Bloberis. He was the one who took the city of humans and changed them, but his gods sanctioned the act and gave him the power to carry it out. He then became Animus and led them. His three sons were the only ones to know the truth, but eventually that truth was lost even to their lines.

Race Powers
Ancients

Emergents
- Increased speed and strength
- NPC guards roam the HIVE
- Hive minded, meaning global communication within the race (but cannot hear local speech while in hive-mind mode).

- Possess tech that allows them to disguise as humans as long as a subject is contained in the chrozo-chamber
Animists
- Can transform into different passive mobs. While not changing their appearance, this augments their abilities:
- Cow: On respawn, the player receives leather armor.
- Sheep: Movement will cause passive mobs to spawn as well as grass on dirt, saplings, and flowers.
- Chicken: No falling damage
- Squid: No damage is received from running out of air underwater.
- Pig: Health regeneration similar to Peaceful mode.
- Wolf: Increased attack.
- All transformed mode can also run extra-fast and glide on wings while sneaking.
